A storyteller, Bruce Lowitt

Bruce Lowitt, a friend and former St. Petersburg Times colleague, was kind enough to acknowledge me in his new book, The Game Isn't Everything.

I've been reading the book, which is filled with stories from Bruce's career. Among the best is the dedication to the teacher, known as Mr. K, who inspired Bruce to make something of himself. I've only read part of the book but already encountered fine stories on John Thompson, Phil Esposito and a Tampa Prep high school coach who died well before his time.
